Continuing Education for Peer Support
Choosing to Tell Even More Supportive Stories
Dates: March 2 & March 9, 2023 from 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm CST.
As Peer Support Specialists, telling our recovery story is part of our role. The way we tell it affects the way we view ourselves, the way others view us, and the message of hope we are able to convey.
Join us for a free 2-part training on how to use our story effectively, where we will address:
- What kinds of stories do we tell ourselves and others?
- In what circumstances?
- What do we believe about those stories?
- What’s possible if we change them or change pieces of them?
4 CEUs are approved through Iowa Board of Certification. This is a 2-part training – attendance at both will be required to get CEUs.
Location: Online via Zoom. Register to receive the link.
About the Facilitator: This training will be facilitated by Hilarie Gaylin, Certified Coach and a former trainer for the Senate Office of Education and Training.
