Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training

As Peer Support Specialists, Recovery Coaches, and Family Peer Support Specialists, we get to see a side of the people we support that other providers don’t get to see. Sometimes, that means we see signs that someone may have thoughts of suicide, and that we are in the best position to ask that person to open up about those thoughts.

In this 2 day workshop, you will:

  • Learn signs of possible suicidal thoughts
  • Practice starting conversations about suicide
  • Learn a framework for having a conversation about suicide that validates the person you’re helping & leads toward safety
  • Connect & practice with people from different agencies in the community
