Monthly Workshop – Trauma-Informed Care

The science of the last 30 years has shown that trauma has a huge impact not only on our emotional experience, but also our mental and even physical health.  Trauma-informed care challenges the way systems are set up in order to create safety through empowerment, trust, and personal choice.  We know first-hand that some organizations are faster to adopt these changes than others.  What do we notice about the mental health system that we would like to see change?  How can we be the first steps of that change?
